When Lavender Blue’s clients Brittany and Colin were looking for a modern Scottish wedding Gemma worked extensively to ensure the venue, decor and running of the day went to plan.  She quickly sourced Couture Event Decor to style the venue.

Gemma Lavender, director of Lavender Blue specialises in delivering show stopping alternative weddings. After gaining her University degree Gemma’s passion for weddings quickly progressed into starting her own wedding and event planning business. For the events she manages, she sources a lot of her decor from Etsy, but claims;

“I also like to use local suppliers like Diva Event Décor to provide professional and reliable services to my clients.”

Gemma has managed a variety of events including a rose gold and blush theme destination wedding in the beautiful village of Pissouri, Cyprus.  Most would agree that when planning your big day, it is so important to get every detail just right! Gemma states;“I can remove the stress from the wedding planning process by liaising with all suppliers on a clients behalf and even managing their guest list for them.  I also have an extensive list of reliable vendors that I can confidently recommend to my clients, that I have worked with and trust to deliver a perfect service. My clients can also save money on their suppliers by hiring them through me, as all my recommended vendors provide special deals for all Lavender Blue clients.”

The deep purple themed wedding in September was extremely popular with the wedding guests and also by the Double Tree’s event manager who described the wedding design as “one of the most beautiful wedding set up’s I have ever seen”.

Director of Couture Event Decor, Jan added “The deep purple decor was a fantastic way to create a contemporary Scottish theme for Brittany and Colin. Adding any white to the design or too much tartan would have not resulted in the desired effect. It was extremely important to keep all decor consistent with the deep purple theme.”
