The vintage theme is the most popular up and coming wedding trend in 2018. At Couture Event Decor we have noticed several different interpretations of the vintage theme and believe that the vintage style is one of the most contemporary wedding designs currently in fashion.

We have a wide range of decor to suit all vintage tastes from the classic vintage look, to the more alternative vintage style. Here are our Top 10 Tips for any 2018 vintage themed wedding.

10. Royal Doulton Vintage China.

“Love vintage china but not keen on the multi coloured mismatched look? Don’t worry, we stock beautiful gold and white and also blue and gold Royal Doulton vintage china trios. These crockery sets are gorgeous and work fantastically with the classic vintage look. The prefect additions to enhance the romantic detail present on your special day.”

9. Foliage Garlands

Why fuss over a centre piece when you could replace the standard wedding look with an Italian touch? This elegant garland can be used as a table runner. It is so versatile and simple to decorate with and the results will have you grinning ear to ear! This addition really builds on an exotic and beautifully romantic atmosphere.

8. Vintage mirrors and floral garlands

It wouldn’t be a wedding without a floral arrangement and with extensive experience in this remit, Jan can unite a fabulous range of flowers to create garlands, runners and of course bouquets.  Here, she has taken an old fashioned mirror and handmade a floral garland to bring attention to the mirror and tie all elements of the dresser setting together.

7. Gold cutlery

Every detail counts and these eye catching tools of gold will have everybody talking! Adding a bit of shine to your table and defying the norm, our gold cutlery sets compliment the vintage wedding theme very well.

6. Gold espresso cups

What a match! Finish off your evening with a quick espresso or amuse-bouche! These mini mugs bring the whole table setting together. Matching with the cutlery, these small objects work together to really make the table shine!

5. Copper charger plates

The base of every wedding table setting is the charger plate, and what is more fitting for a vintage themed wedding than our large, copper charger plates? We have completely fallen for these. They complete the look and offer a gorgeous background for our gold decor pieces and patterned china.

4. Wooden Crates

Everybody is going crazy for these wooden crates! Simple but brilliant. These crates create the perfect vintage look, fabulous for outdoor weddings and other alternative venues. You can fill the crates with wine, champagne, fruit or some romantic rustic lanterns!

3. Whisky barrel

Bringing everybody together, our barrels can be used as small tables where guests can converse over a dram or two.  Our whisky barrels are so authentic, you can actually still smell the whisky on them!

2. Rustic lanterns

Simple and romantic. The rope handle adding the special vintage touch.  We use large wax candles in these which completely set the mood and romance for the evening.

1.Champagne bucket and self service champagne station

This is the way forward! Self service bars for the guests to enjoy while you are doing your photo session.

“Our champagne bar set up is a beautiful way to welcome guests to the cocktail hour. You can create a fabulous display of Champagne Wines, you could even create your very own gin bar. Guests will love this more relaxed and informal set up where they can enjoy the drinks and the socialising. We have all the hire items you will need to create your own special bar set up, and we can help you with some design ideas too!”
